I wrote and recorded the lament, “We Are One Thread”, to coincide with COP 23. The lament features the beautiful Native American drone flute my lovely wife Karen commissioned for my 70th birthday from Southern Cross Flutes. The haunting sound of the flute seems to reflect the plight of indigenous people across the globe as the impact of climate change hits these vulnerable people particularly hard. The title and refrain for the lament are taken from the words of Chief Seattle of the Suquamish and Duwamish tribes (1854) whose words still apply to the way we continue to mistreat our planet earth.
