This traditional Irish poem dates from the 1600’s and was translated from the Gaelic by Frank O’Connor before being set to music by Philip King in 1979. I recorded this version by multi-tracking Celtic harp, tenor guitar, classical guitar, hammered dulcimer, whistle, shruti box, voice and the addition of lots of wind (not of my making).
